The Blue Bee is a fairly recent find in the hobby, discovered in China in 2008. Breeders have reported success cross breeding this species to Caridina Cantonensis, though its technicaly classification is a of the Paracaradina genus. The Blue Bee has proved to be a very adaptable species, with breeders having success in high pH and high TDS environments.
